We met Brody, an adventurous and sweet 9 year old, a couple years ago when he was diagnosed. Due to some hiccups along the way, his trip to Disney was delayed, but this past winter, he was finally healthy and on his way to the Happiest Place on Earth! “It was so awesome – so busy, so fun, and so exhausting — all at the same time!” his mother said. “We squeezed in as much as we could.”

Brody and his family hit all the big Orlando parks, and added LEGO Land and Gator Land to the itinerary as well. “The best part was Universal – Brody unexpectedly overcame his roller coaster fear, so then was obsessed,” his mother told us. Brody told us that his favorite roller coasters were the VelociCoaster and The Incredible Hulk Coaster.

Brody also loved Give Kids the World Village. “I ate lots of ice cream at GKTW!” Brody said, telling us his favorite was the mint chocolate chip. “I also liked the arcade a lot – but really loved all the food!” “GKTW was awesome. They’re so accommodating – everything was delicious! The villa was so nice. Everything was just awesome,” his mother said.

When reflecting on this Dream experience, Brody’s mother said, “This trip meant so much – to be able to have the time to give Brody the experience.” Through tears, she added, “The joy that all of us got from the experience of going together after everything that happened – it was magical.”

We are thrilled that Brody finally got to take his trip and experience the magic of Orlando with his family. We are thankful for our partnership with #ChartwayPromiseFoundation for helping to fund this Dream.
