Miah, 8, is a spunky and fashionable young lady who loves everything Disney! From the movies to the shows, she’s a Disney gal! So, it was no surprise that she wanted to go to Disney World for her Dream. 

 Miah and her family made magical memories at all the Orlando parks, but one special memory stuck out to her mother in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal. “Miah wanted to do the Wand Chooses the Wizard experience at Olivander’s wand shop in Hogsmeade. We did the experience; however, she was not chosen to have a wand choose her,” her mother told us. But they didn’t give up! 

She went on to say, “We rode the Hogwarts Express over to Diagon Alley, where there was another Olivander’s. Once again, Miah was not chosen for the experience. I briefly spoke with the wizard’s assistant and explained that Miah desperately wished to have a wand choose her. Without hesitation he stepped inside the room, spoke with the wizard, and proceeded to usher our family back into the shop. And a wand did in fact choose Miah! She proceeded to make magic all through Diagon Alley with her new wand! It was truly a magical experience that we will never forget, especially Miah!” 

Aside from setting magical spells all over Diagon Alley, Miah also loved the parade at Disney, the character Meet & Greets, and of course, the rides! 

“Our family absolutely adored Give Kids the World,” Miah’s mother said. “It is such a magical place that made us feel right at home. The generosity and kindness we experienced was like nothing we have ever experienced before.” 

As a family, Miah’s mother told us their favorite part was seeing Miah get to hang her star in the Castle of Miracles. “It was a beautifully emotional moment that we will never forget,” she said. 

“This Dream gave us the opportunity to experience the best that Disney and Universal Studios have to offer. We skipped past lines and got to the front row at parades. We absolutely cherished Give Kids the World. And we wholeheartedly made memories that will last forever. We are beyond grateful,” her mother reflected. 

She added, “This was a very sentimental trip for our family, as it is for every critical child who dreams a Dream through Toby’s Dream Foundation. We are eternally grateful to the donors, sponsors, staff, and volunteers for making this dream a reality for our girl! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!”
