Christian's Magical Journey Together
Three-year-old Dreamer Christian's Toby's Dream Foundation trip was filled with meaningful firsts and unforgettable joy.
For Christian, this was his first airplane ride not connected to cancer treatment, all the siblings were flying together. That alone made the journey feel different. This trip was about being together, about fun, and about creating new memories.

At Give Kids the World Village, Christian experienced some of the most magical moments of the entire Dream. The carousel quickly became his favorite, especially because the volunteers were so sweet and he could ride as many times as he wanted. Another highlight was making his star. It was truly his moment. He sat at the desk while his family watched, and they were amazed by the placement of the star and what it represented.
The whole Village felt special to the family. It was described as the perfect children's playground. They loved spending time in the arcade and even meeting Santa Claus. Everywhere they turned, there was something designed just for kids to smile.
At the parks, the Winnie the Pooh ride was a hit, so cute and loved by all of the children. The Toy Story rides, especially the saucers and arcade-style game, brought even more laughter and excitement.
Christian also had his favorite treats along the way. He enjoyed the unlimited ice cream and pizza at Give Kids the World. And of course, a classic Mickey Mouse ice cream was a must.
Looking back, the family sees the trip as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. "With the ages of the children and busy work schedules, everything lined up perfectly. It was nice not having to worry about details, to simply decide what they wanted to do and go do it." The entire experience felt relaxing and seamless. As mom continued to share, "Give Kids the World itself is a magical place."

What stood out just as much as the rides and activities was the overwhelming kindness they encountered. Everyone was accommodating from start to finish, the airline staff, greeters to volunteers, everybody was beyond nice. It was a powerful reminder of the "good in humanity. There wasn't a need that wasn't met." For Christian and his family, this Dream was about joy, ease, and being surrounded by love and care.
Toby's Dream is grateful to donor Cynthia Rickman for helping us make this Dream come true.
