A World of Wonder for Kason

Eleven-year-old Kason's Dream trip to Disney World and Give Kids the World Village was filled with wonder, connection, and moments that spoke straight to the heart. His Dream required thoughtful planning, including arranging an ASL interpreter to travel with the family to support his parents' communication throughout the trip. Kason waited patiently as every detail came together, and the Foundation is deeply grateful to Raquela Harvey for providing her services. As shared by Executive Director Joan, "The joy captured in the photos tells the story better than words ever could."

This trip marked a big milestone for Kason, as it was his very first time flying. He was excited for the adventure from the start, ready to take in everything Orlando had to offer. From the theme parks to the Village, he embraced each experience with curiosity and happiness.

Some of the most magical moments came through character interactions. Kason loved meeting Ariel and Pluto, with Pluto leaving a lasting impression by using ASL during their time together. Seeing communication happen in such a meaningful and inclusive way made the moment even more special. Disney's iconic sights also left him in awe. The Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom stood out as a powerful experience, with Kason spending nearly 20 minutes studying every detail. Seeing Cinderella's Castle for the first time and exploring Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios added even more excitement.

Animal Kingdom quickly became a favorite for the entire family. The Africa section felt especially familiar and comforting. Mom shared that it almost felt like home. Kason also loved climbing to the top of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, watching the Disney parade, and visiting SeaWorld, where he was thrilled to see the penguins. One unforgettable highlight was getting to pet a stingray, a moment that quickly became one of his favorite memories from the trip.

Family time was at the heart of the Dream. Sharing meals, enjoying daily treats, and indulging in plenty of ice cream created joyful moments everyone treasured. Popcorn quickly became Kason's favorite snack. At Give Kids the World Village, the unlimited Ice Cream and Cookie Cart were big hits, and the kindness of everyone they met made the Village feel warm, welcoming, and special. Kason loved it so much that he was sad to leave after having so much fun throughout their stay.

The trip was about more than the parks and attractions. It was about time together. It was about watching Kason happily walk around taking photos and seeing him laugh and play alongside his sister and other children. These simple, meaningful moments became the memories the family will cherish most.

Kason's Dream trip was filled with discovery, connection, and shared joy. From his first flight to unforgettable character encounters and precious time together as a family, the experience created memories that will last a lifetime.
