Zan’s Magical Orlando Adventure
Four-year-old Zan’s Dream trip to Orlando was filled with wonder, excitement, and unforgettable moments for the whole family. From the moment he arrived at Give Kids the World Village, the magic began.
One of the most cherished family memories came in their evening at Magic Kingdom, watching fireworks together. It was Zan’s first time ever seeing fireworks and having their own “space on the grassy area” made it even more special.
A moment that meant the world to Zan happened thanks to a little Disney magic and a lot of kindness. At first, the plan was to skip the Star Wars area, but after finding a Stormtrooper action figure at the Village, Zan became eager to meet the characters in person. When a worker asked if there was anyone he hoped to see, they assured the family they would help “make that happen.” Soon after, Stormtroopers came out to meet Zan, along with Chewbacca, creating one of the most unforgettable highlights of the trip.

There were many character interactions that touched the family deeply. His dad loved the meeting with Zan & Spiderman, especially after hearing a special comment about Zan’s “superpower hearing aids,” which stayed with Dad long after. For his mom, it was watching Zan’s joy as he met Winnie the Pooh that truly warmed her heart. She described it as “so overjoyed and sweet to see how happy Zan was,” especially after everything he has faced. She said, “trying to make up after all that he has been through” made moments like that even more meaningful.
Give Kids the World Village added so much to the experience. “GKTW was amazing.” With so much to do right there at the Village, the family was grateful to have activities, fun, and comfort all in one place. Zan especially loved the pool, and the nightly ice cream was a huge hit.
Zan also met Ana and Elsa, Bruno and Mirabel, and took in more magic than one trip seemed like it could hold. With so much to see and do, his mom shared they were happily “exhausted,” and that “everyone really enjoyed it.”
This Dream trip gave Zan and his family a chance to experience joy together in a big, memorable way. It was a time filled with magic, surprise moments, character hugs, sweet treats, and memories they will always treasure.
Toby’s Dream is grateful for our funding partner Chartway Promise Foundation for helping us make this dream come true. Thank you to Give Kids the World Village for creating a place where families like Zan’s can relax, play, and make memories that will last forever.
