Maggie and The Mouse!

Maggie, a 12-year-old girl from Yorktown, dreamed of going to Disney World. She not only wanted to meet The Mouse, but she also wanted to ride as many rides as she could during her visit to the land of make-believe.

With her parents onboard, Maggie was picked up by her own limousine to whisk her family away to the airport to begin a dream trip of a lifetime.

Staying at Give Kids the World Village (GKTW) was a special treat when they found out that their “room” was actually their own private villa. The staff and volunteers at the Village were wonderful and greeted Maggie with a stuffed Mickey Mouse when she arrived. The next morning at the Village, Mickey himself visited and personally signed his doll version for Maggie.

Maggie and her parents rode rides that were out of control with excitement and loved every minute of it. According to Maggie, the rides were at the top of the list for her favorite part of the trip. She loved Magic Kingdom, but she also loved the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.

Each night when Maggie arrived back home at her villa in the Village, she found a surprise waiting for her on the kitchen table. Some of her treasures were several games, books and a Harry Potter baseball hat, which was her favorite. Maggie also loved the free ice cream each day at the ice cream shop at the Village. Twice she even had ice cream for breakfast….every child’s dream!

Maggie’s mother wrote that “we had a wonderful time, probably one of the nicest family vacations we have ever had and it was a joy to do all of those wonderful things together. It truly was a “dream trip.”

Toby’s Dream Foundation is honored to make this dream come true for Maggie.

For Maggie… Tomorrow begins with a dream!
