Kayson

Kayson is an athletic young man with a heart of gold. Even though he was confined to staying at CHKD, he remained positive and thoughtful. He dreamed of having an iPad to explore all the apps, entertainment, and features it has to offer. Toby's Dream Foundation reached out to all the electronic stores in the area and was able to get Kayson his very own iPad with an orange cover-- his favorite color!

Sammy

Sammy was adopted by his Chesapeake family when he was just 13 months old. He was perfect and his family was thrilled to have their sweet son. Then, when Sammy was 4 years old, the unimaginable happened. He was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Toby's Dream Foundation had to work quickly to make sure that Sammy's lifelong dream came true-- to meet his idol, Spider-Man! Sammy and his family enjoyed a fantastic trip in Disney World, Orlando, Florida. The most special time was when Sammy had a private one-on-one meet and greet with his beloved Spider-Man. The family will never forget that memory. Sadly, shortly after Sammy and his family returned home, Sammy earned his angel wings. A special heartfelt thanks to all who made this dream possible.

Ashley

Ashley is a feminine and sweet 14 year old girl from Virginia Beach. She has a rare life-threatening illness that took her hair. She was referred to Toby's Dream Foundation to receive a shopping spree with her best friend by her side! Together they took on all their favorite shops and bought all the clothes and shoes they could hold! Ashley also bought 2 special items: hairpieces that made her feel like a "normal" teenager again. Sadly, Ashley later lost her fight with her illness, but she is remembered fondly by all who knew her. TDF is honored to have granted her a dream.
